What does dextromethorphan do?
Dextromethorphan is used to relieve coughs due to colds or influenza (flu). It should not be used for chronic cough that occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema or when there is an unusually large amount of mucus or phlegm with the cough
Description
Temporary relief of dry cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation occurring with the common cold or inhaled irritants.
Dosage: Adults and children 12 years and over: Recommended single dose: 10mL (2 tsp.) every 6 to 8 hours. Maximum daily dose: Do not take more than 40mL (8 tsp.) per 24 hours period. Not recommended for children under 12 years old.
Caution:Â Do not use this product with other drugs containing dextromethorphan. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you are allergic to dextromethorphan or any other ingredient in this product.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store between 15-30°C.
Medicinal Ingredient: Each teaspoonful (5mL) contains 15mg of Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (Antitussive).
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Amaranth, benzoic acid, citric acid, eucalyptol, FD&C Yellow no. 6, glycerin, menthol, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium cyclamate, sorbitol.
